A List of Notoriously Slow Artists Who Are Still More Prolific Than Karis Rowley.
Steely Dan, who broke up for decades and then reunited and have recorded two new studio albums while Karis has been plugging away at his album.
The Eagles. Pretty much the same story except that they released a double CD instead of two albums.
Boston. Two CD's and another on the way.
Peter Gabriel. Two studio albums, an album of covers, and a new live album backed with an orchestra.
Kate Bush. Two studio albums, one of which was a double album, an album of re-arranged and re-recorded versions of some of her previously recorded songs, and a new Christmas album.
Guns 'N' Roses. "Chinese Democracy" came out before Karis finished his album. Now THATS humiliating.
And Brian Wilson finally finished "Smile."
Meanwhile, hundreds of bands and artists have come and gone, artists currently in the Top 40 weren't even born when Karis finished his last album in 1989, and several dead artists are still managing to be more prolific than Karis.
The motion picture "Mr. Holland's Opus" tells the story of a man who spent 30 years working on a piece of music. The film quotes John Lennon when it states that "life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans."
At this point, Karis' album has been gestating for 22 years. There's been a lot of life happening during that time.
